This owner desired a larger, updated bathroom as the current room was extremely small and needed much repair. She felt by updating the bathroom and making it larger she would add value to her home. There also was an issue of possible decay inside the walls from a previous fire that was not addressed properly.

We expanded the bathroom to 2 ½ times its original size. By doing so, we were able to provide 5 ft of counter/vanity space where originally there was none. A 5-½ ft soaking tub replaced the 4 ft tub that functioned as a stand up shower only. We also provided a separate 3ft 9in corner shower. The light design of the new room includes a light over tub and shower, a center room fixture and wall sconces at the vanity/mirrors. All lights are on individual dimmer switches which allow the customer to have total lighting control.

With the 1950´s bungalow style wood architecture of the home, subway tile wainscot was used to keep the old world feel of the home while enhancing the lines with new updated fixtures. Fixtures were also selected to mimic the 50´s era. The upper portion of walls were done in an orange peel effect and painted a dark blue to contrast the white subway tile on the lower portion of the walls.

Evidence of superior craftsmanship and attention to detail are shown throughout with the custom tub deck, custom corner mud-set shower, custom cabinets with a marble top and subway tile configuration, all designed by our company. We also customized the 2 panel entrance door and trim to match the existing doors and trim throughout the rest of the house.

The end result was a customer who was pleased with the overall project and appearance of her "new" bathroom and was elated that we did it all within her budget. She was in awe that we had taken her ideas and thoughts and turned them into exactly what she had envisioned. She has since contacted us regarding future projects.
